Is the deposit refundable?
Unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise, deposits are not refundable after time has been reserved, planning has started, infrastructure has been prepared, discovery has been performed, or any project work has begun. If nothing has started, Gatula Labs may refund or credit the deposit less processing and administrative costs.
What happens if I change the scope?
Extra pages, features, languages, integrations, design rounds, API changes, urgent work, content rewriting or server tasks outside the approved scope may increase the price and timeline. We prefer confirming changes in writing before doing them.
When do I own the final work?
Unless otherwise agreed, ownership or a usage licence to custom final deliverables is granted after full payment. Gatula Labs may keep reusable methods, templates, internal tools, generic components, know-how and pre-existing materials.
Can you host and maintain the website?
Yes. Hosting, monitoring, backups, updates, security checks and technical care can be provided as a separate maintenance plan or written agreement. They are not automatically included in every build.
Do you guarantee SEO, sales or uptime?
No professional IT studio can honestly guarantee search rankings, sales, ad results, exact revenue, permanent uptime or complete protection from attacks. We can build strong foundations, analytics, performance, security practices and practical improvement plans.
Can you fix emergency server or website issues?
Yes, depending on availability and access. Emergency, after-hours or urgent recovery work may require upfront payment and may be billed at a higher rate because it interrupts scheduled project work.
Do you work with AI?
Yes. We build AI-assisted workflows and may use AI tools internally for research, drafting, code support, testing and automation planning. Sensitive, legal, financial or regulated claims should always be reviewed by the Client or a qualified adviser.
What do you need from me?
Usually: project goal, brand materials, content, access to domain/hosting/tools, examples you like, required languages, budget range, timeline, legal/business requirements and one person who can approve decisions.
Can you work with Icelandic businesses?
Yes. Gatula Labs is operated from Iceland and can support Icelandic, English and Polish project communication depending on the project. Multilingual website structures can also be planned from the start.
